What makes a CME program successful?
A successful CME program evolves from extensive research in which discrepancies in knowledge are identified between “what is” and “what should be,” indicating the level of educational need. The validity and success of the CME program is assessed by objectively measuring outcomes attributable to the educational intervention. <Close Window>

When should an outcomes measurement study be conducted?
CME LLC will conduct broad needs assessment research to determine where gaps exist between actual clinician knowledge and desired/optimal knowledge. Based on the needs assessment and the identified gaps, a customized study is conducted that may include a pre- and post-activity questionnaire and/or a follow-up initiative that measures changes in skills, attitude and behavior and the impact on the clinicians’ performance in their practice. Not all education requires all levels of measurement. <Close Window>
