About this Activity
This program will provide clinicians with a thorough understanding of fibromyalgia as condition with an overlapping symptomatic, functional and pathophysiologic presentation with many other mood and medical conditions. Subsequently, participating in this activity will facilitate the clinician’s ability to render an early and accurate diagnosis of fibromyalgia and implement an integrative approach to effective management.
Learning Objectives
By participating in this symposium, learners will be able to:
- Understand the pathophysiology of fibromyalgia.
- Indentify challenges in the diagnosis of fibromyalgia including overlapping symptomatology and comorbid conditions.
- Evaluate the efficacy and safety of nonpharmacologic and pharmacologic therapies for the management of fibromyalgia.

This activity was designed to meet the continuing education needs of psychiatrists and other physicians.
